Yard Helper:
The duties of the Yard Helper are not limited to but including those outlined below:
- General yard care and maintenance
- Care of fleet - washing, detailing, organizing parking of vehicles in yard
- Assisting field staff with loading and unloading of trucks
- Delivery of materials to job sites
- Pick up of materials at different wholesalers
- Identifying, sorting and organizing materials
- Performing quality control checking to segregate scrap from recyclable products
- Breaking down returned materials into applicable recycling bins
- Wiring of components and fixtures
- Collection of garbage daily from office staff and trailer (except Mondays)
- Dispensing propane (certification to be provided)
- Assisting in inventory control
- Assisting with fleet maintenance
- Other yard and shop projects
Position is mainly outside work. Heavy lifting is required from time to time. Forklift experience an asset. Skid Steer operation an asset but not required.
Valid drivers license a requirement and applicants should submit a recent drivers abstract (obtain from ICBC Drivers Centers). References should be either included on resume or provided at interview.
Hours of work are Monday thru Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm. Benefits offered after 3 months of employment.
